Vijay after his Nanban was a hit, gearing up with his forthcoming film Thuppakki directed by AR.Murugadoss. The director has roped in Sathyan to play pivotal role in the movie.

It is heard that Murugadoss happened to watch Nanban shooting and then decided to have Sathyan in Thuppakki, to play Vijay friend. Sathyan is on cloud nine, as the comedian has shared the screen with Ilayathalapathy in his back to back movies. Vijay and a couple of biggies also have suggested the director to rope in Sathyan for the comic role, said sources.

Vijay and Kajal Agarwal starrer Thuppakki is being produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu that has cinematography by Santosh Sivan, dialogues being penned by Jayamohan, editing by A.Sreekar Prasad and music is composed by Harris Jayaraj.
